![]() "Once Upon." is beloved by many, and it's objectively a Great Film, but it was sort of an end in itself. ![]() After "Once Upon a Time in the West", Sergio Leone only directed one more Western - "Duck you Sucker!" with James Coburn and only one more movie after that 12 years later. So why am I not featuring it? Well as I have said in previous posts, "Hang 'Em High" was Eastwood's first Hollywood Western and more than that, it was the first movie from his own production company "Malpaso Productions". Quite a few of them were Spaghetti Westerns, and the biggest among them is surely " Once Upon a Time in the West". A look at Westerns from 1968 shows that over 400 movies and TV shows were produced that year, which is a lot, but noticeably down from the peak years of the 50s and 60s.
